Tips for Conducting Interviews

Interviews are a means to gather in-depth information around a topic. They are particularly useful for obtaining multiple points of view, interpretations of events, and the story behind participants experiences. The questions asked in an interview shape the depth and breadth of the responses. The responses given become the basis for a detailed description of a situation, event, system, or process. This document offers tips for several important aspects of conducting an interview.
