Preparing a CLIP Application

To form a CLIP, find others who are interested in the inquiry you would like to focus on. Work together to prepare the CLIP application.

In the application, you state:

  • what you want to investigate
  • who will participate in the CLIP
  • general ideas about your approach

Design the inquiry around a meaningful question that can be looked at from multiple perspectives and that is important in your situation. Focus on a key opportunity, a vision you and your colleagues have for students, and/or a way to address a significant problem related to student learning and success.

As the inquiry goes forward, you and your CLIP members may decide to modify some aspects of the original focus. That’s fine. CLIP work is a process of continual refinement of your questions and methods as you proceed.
