We are grateful to the many people who contributed to the creation of these CLIP modules. In particular, we want to recognize the people who participated in the action research at Bakersfield College and in the development of the modules.
At the core of the action research at Bakersfield College was the work of the CLIP members. It takes flexibility, energy, and perseverance to make a project like this successful and the CLIP members demonstrated all of these qualities. We thank all these Bakersfield College CLIP members:

Kenneth Meier, then Vice President for Student Learning, provided the indispensable initial leadership for the project with support from then President Sandra Serrano.
We gratefully acknowledge the InSites team who conducted the pilot test at Bakersfield College: Beverly Parsons (team leader), Carol Bosserman, Elizabeth O’Connell, Rosemary Reinhart, and Kathy Wyckoff.
Beverly Parsons envisioned the project and served as the CLIP Guide during the first two years of the pilot test. Bonnie Suderman (Bakersfield College assessment coordinator) brought a strong commitment to the ideals of the CLIPs and successfully shepherded the CLIPs during her service as CLIP Guide during the third year.
We greatly appreciate the work of the external formative evaluation team who were also instrumental in the development process. Theresa Rosner-Salazar and Deborah Watson-Trujillo from Research Evaluation Associates for Latinos (REAL) served as the evaluation team.
The development of the online CLIP modules began in the third year of the CLIPs at Bakersfield College. It involved some of the same people who had undertaken the action research as well as some who brought a special expertise in visual and online communication to this phase of the work. The team leader and primary writer was Beverly Parsons. Sue Maunders played a major role in the design and development of the online characteristics of the modules and produced the web-based pages with assistance from Kathy Wyckoff and Karl Johnson. Patricia Jessup, Carolyn Lupe, and Elizabeth O’Connell wrote portions of the modules. Kathy Wyckoff developed the design features. Michelle Boos-Stone created the graphic images used as icons throughout the modules. Clark Parsons and Lane Community College provided the pictures. Michele Bresso served as the production manager for the videos with assistance from Kristin Rabe. Manuel De Los Santos, Clark Parsons, and Karl Johnson produced the videos. Rosemary Reinhart served as editor with assistance from Jessica Germain. Kathy Wyckoff designed and produced the downloadable documents.
We are grateful to the Advisory Panel for their review of the research and modules and for the wise counsel they have given us throughout this work. Many thanks go the members of the Advisory Panel: Sonya Christian, Jean King, Peggy Valdez-Fergason, and Richard Voorhees.
InSites developed the modules based on testing the CLIP process at Bakersfield College in California through action research supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) under grant #0335581.
