By giving you access to approaches that have proved successful in other contexts, we hope this module is one that you return to throughout the year as you discover new questions or need to find alternative paths.
You also may find the tools for CLIP Facilitators (Module 6) useful.
The CLIP Guide's tasks are to:
- position CLIPs within the college
- coordinate with CLIP Facilitators
- provide support to CLIPs
- organize the multi-CLIP meetings
- handle financial matters related to the CLIPs
Generally speaking, besides positioning and championing the CLIP work within the college, you work with the CLIPs individually. You organize multi-CLIP meetings and coordinate with each CLIP Facilitator to provide support, access to resources, and financial assistance for each CLIP. At a deeper level, you use the Eight Guiding Principles for CLIPs to build a sustained culture of self-renewing inquiry that benefits student learning and success.
This module provides resources and helps you prepare for these tasks. Keep in mind that the information here is a resource for you to adapt to your situation. Do not feel rigidly bound by the processes and ideas here. We are eager to learn what modifications you make so we can share additional ideas with other colleges.
