Meridian High School: Community Context

Meridian High School is located in the town of Langton, close to a major metropolitan area. Teachers describe this suburban community as retaining the feel of a “small town.” It is predominately Caucasian, with a small African American population. Though not a rich community, most residents have above median incomes. The poverty level is four percent.
