Clemens Middle School: District Context

The district is considered one of the best in the state. It serves approximately 8,500 students. About 80 percent of the teaching staff hold advanced degrees.

Next year, a revision in the standards and required curriculum will result in more time for seventh graders to study Asia and other non-Western parts of the world. In keeping with these new requirements, the Social Studies department will use a new textbook, which will include more content about Eastern cultures than the previous textbook.
