Recruiting CLIPs | ||||||

You may choose to announce the opportunity to form CLIPs via conversations and emails with the department chairs and/or schedule information meetings with those who may be interested in forming a CLIP. Recruitment is a constant activity. You’ll find, however, that the success of the early CLIPs will pave the way for more people to be interested. Typically, faculty members fill out their CLIP applications in the spring and begin their CLIP work in the fall. Sometimes people haven’t found others to work with, but they’re still interested in the idea of undertaking a CLIP inquiry. If that is the case at your college, you might consider hosting a recruitment meeting where people can meet with others to talk about possible topics of an inquiry. |
